Father Jonathan Wilson
Fr. Jonathan Wilson, pastor of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Newark, Ohio will speak about the Theology of the Body. He will briefly outline the Church's consistent teaching on God's plan for marital love and children and explain how Blessed John Paul's teaching on the Theology of the Body is the definitive answer to the lies and destructive influence of the sexual revolution.
Dr. Michael & Teresa Parker
Dr. Michael and Teresa Parker were married one day after Dr. Parker graduated from medical school. Teresa is a registered nurse and the person to whom Michael gives credit for bringing him back to the Catholic faith. After completing his residency training, Dr. Parker joined Northeast OB/GYN in Gahanna, OH. In 1999 Teresa and Michael started a journey that would take them to a place they never expected . While attending a conference at the Pope Paul the VI Inst. for the Study of Human Reproduction in Omaha Nebraska, Dr. Parker was introduced to the Encyclical Humanae Vitae and God's plan for human sexuality and marriage. Dr. Parker realized that his Catholic faith called Teresa and he to a greater vocation. They were being called to witness to the Church's teachings on human sexuality and the love and beauty of marriage, family and chaste relationships. This paradigm shift would not allow him to continue to prescribe contraceptives agents or perform sterilizations. In 2004 Teresa and Michael made the decision to convert his practice to Natural Family Planning only. Though this decision was difficult, their marriage, family and medical practice have been blessed beyond belief. Dr. Parker is an active speaker on Catholic Health Issues, Natural Family Planning, Women’s Health and has testified before legislative committees in favor of Pro-life legislation. He is the Co-host of "The Catholic Doctors Show" with Dr. Will Turek on St. Gabriel Radio, AM 820. Dr. Parker currently serves as the President of the John Paul II Guild of the Catholic Medical Association and is a regional Director for the Catholic Medical Association. Teresa and Michael are active members of St. Patrick Parish in Columbus, OH. Teresa is an active gardener, beekeeper, and pro-life activist. She is greatly devoted to the Rosary. Above all, Michael and Teresa are most proud of their six children: Mary, Will, Jack, Nick, Catherine and Francesca.
